Families flocked to Griffin Park on Saturday for Brentford Football Club's Family Day.
The Bees' game against Scunthorpe United was designated as a Family Day as part of the Football League's Family Football Festival taking place across the country this autumn and there was plenty going on.
There were face painters in the Braemar Road forecourt and close to the Club Shop in New Road and in the Brook Road Stand and furry mascots joining in the fun.
The match was being sponsored by SEGA and Sonic the Hedgehog joined Scunthorpe's Scunny Bunny and Brentford's Buzz Bee for the celebration of family football.
Cancer Research UK were also at Griffin Park conducting a match day collection and their mascot was also out with some of the Brentford players not involved in the match to distribute sweets to youngsters in the crowd.
The mascots also helped select the winners for the fancy dress competition and Han Douglas Choi, dressed as a skeleton, and Scarlet McAllen, dressed as Supergirl, walked away with handheld computer games put up by SEGA for the best fancy dress.
The two teams distributed mini footballs before the match kicks off while at half time a family of Brentford fans and a family of Scunthorpe United fans went head-to-head in a special Family Day Centre Circle Challenge.
Arguably the highlight of the day was the mascot race just before kick-off featuring Buzz, Scunny, Sonic and two Cancer Research Mascots.
The Cancer Research UK duo finished in a tie for first place, while Sonic trailed in last behind Buzz and Scunny.
