Sam Saunders joined Brentford in the summer of 2009 from Dagenham and Redbridge.
Attacking midfield player Sam was signed after scoring 14 goals for The Daggers in their 2008/09 League Two campaign.
The 29-year-old was on the books of Charlton Athletic as a youngster and moved around the non-league scene before being part of the Dagenham team that won promotion to the Football League in 2007.
He scored his first Brentford goal towards the end of his first season at Griffin Park and hit three more in 2010/11.
His prowess from dead balls in and around the penalty area and ability to pop up in the box enabled him to reach double figures for goals in 2011/12 and contribute almost as many assists.
He passed 100 games for Brentford at the end of the 2011/12 season.
